St. Maria Goretti Parish Lenten Mission with Father Claudio

St.
Maria Goretti Catholic Church will conduct their annual Parish
Lenten Mission each evening March 7 – 11, 2010, from 7:00 – 8:30
p.m. Father Claudio Piccinini will facilitate the mission,
The Presence of God in My Life.
Fr.
Claudio is a Passionist Missionary Priest born in Ascoli Piceno,
Italy in 1941. He lived there for 18 years as a shepherd and
farmer before relocating with his family to Windsor, Ontario,
Canada. He received his Masters in Theology from St. John’s
University, NY and was ordained as a Passionist Priest on June
2, 1972. As a Passionist Missionary, Fr. Claudio conducts
week-long Missions in both English and Italian in the United
States and Canada.
In
1979, Fr. Claudio founded Jesus the Listener, a program to
promote devotion to the Passion and Death of our Lord. As a part
of Father Claudio’s Parish Mission experience, he distributes a
beautiful 2 ˝ inch Crucifix during the Homily to all the
parishioners who attend the weekend services. Thousands of
people in the United States and Canada now own one of the theses
Crucifixes to remind them of God’s love as manifested in the
Passion of Jesus Christ.
Fr.
Claudio will celebrate mass each evening at 7:00 p.m. and then
give the mission talk. He will also be available for the
Sacrament of Reconciliation.
