The mission of Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church is to
extend the kingdom of God by sharing God's love in the church community
through spirit-filled liturgies, religious education, and service to others.
Corporate Matching Funds
double
your contributions to SMG! How? Find out if your company offers a
matching fund program to educational or charitable organizations.
Some local companies that do have a matching fund program include:
Eli Lilly, AT&T, Prudential, Guidant, Toro, Smith Kline Beecham.
Your company may offer one too! Please call Pat Gorman at 867-3213,
ext. 127 if you learn about such a program and want to coordinate
your giving this way.
INCREASE YOUR EFT CONTRIBUTION
If you are currently contributing via EFT, and wish to increase your
amount, please email and
state what amount you would like to increase to. There is no need
to send in another EFT form or canceled check.
EFT YOUR WEEKLY TITHE
You can now set up an automatic debit from your bank account for
your weekly offering. Not only will this be convenient for you, but
it will also help the church with a more consistent cash flow,
especially over the summer and vacations. Go online to
www.smgonline.org
and download the EFT Your Weekly Tithe form. Mail the form to the
Parish office or drop it in the collection basket at Mass.
STOCKS, BONDS & SECURITIES CONTRIBUTIONS
Ever thought about donating securities to SMG? This is a great
vehicle to support your parish while getting advantageous tax
treatment! How? By donating a security that has grown in value you
(a) avoid the income tax on the capital gain since a donation to a
qualified charity such as SMG is not the same as a sale, and (b) you
get to deduct the full market value of the stock contributed. To
easily and effectively donate securities to SMG (electronically
through your broker!), please print and fill out the Transfer of
Securities form found on our website.

THOUGHTS ON STEWARDSHIP
“He
that gives all, though but little, gives much; because God looks not
to the quantity of the gift, but to the quality of the givers.”
